Warranty T&C

KENT warrants all new products manufactured by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal usage as per the stipulated product published guidelines and service from the date of purchase as under:

Acceptance of this Agreement states that you agree to the below terms and conditions:

  1. The Warranty period commences from the date of purchase by the first end-user for a period of 1 year.
  2. If a defect arises during the Warranty Period, KENT, at its option will (1) repair the Product at no charge using new parts or parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (2) exchange the Product with a product that is at least functionally equivalent to the product it replaces.
  3. KENT does not warrant, represent or undertake that it will be able to repair or replace any Product under this warranty without risk to and / or loss of information and / or data stored on the Product. In no event shall KENT be liable for (a) loss or damage, which as of the product's purchase cannot be regarded as being caused by KENT's breach of these warranty terms; or (b) losses caused by the user's fault, loss of data or loss of profits or benefits.
  4. The original purchaser of the unit can avail services under Warranty, by producing the damaged parts along with the original invoice. KENT will provide warranty service through one or more of the following options:
    1. Voice Based Support: Tech Support team will contact you once user registers complaint via application, via mail or by directly calling on Call center number.
    2. In-Home Service: Professional technician visits your home to service your device (currently home service is available ONLY in metro cities – Please check the same with Tech support team for home service).
    3. Mail-in service:If KENT determines that your Product is eligible for mail-in service, KENT will send you prepaid waybills and applicable packaging material, so that you may ship your Product to a KENT location. KENT will pay for shipping to and from your location if instructions regarding the method of packaging and shipping the Product are followed.
  5. KENT or its ASP shall not be held liable for claims exceeding the cost of repair of the defects in workmanship
  6. This Warranty Agreement shall not be interpreted to render KENT or its ASP liable for injuries or damages of any kind direct, consequential or contingent to persons or property
  7. KENT or its ASP shall not be held liable for repair or alterations made without prior written approval;
  8. KENT reserves the right to alter or improve design and specifications at any time, without any contingent obligations to prospective buyers or owners of the products previously sold
  9. Any disagreements and obligations based upon the purchase of KENT products and thereby imposed on KENT or its ASP shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only
  10. KENT or its ASP does not authorize any person or representative to assume for them any other obligations on the sale of CamEye device
  11. Under no circumstances, the liability of KENT or its ASP shall exceed the value of the product
  12. Under no circumstances are the terms mentioned above negotiable and no employee of KENT or its ASP has the authority to supersede them

    Disclaimer: -

    Items not covered by this limited warranty; actions that may void the warranty

    1. This Warranty is void if the unit is not operated under normal conditions or according to the instructions given in the manual and software license agreement.
    2. Warranty doesn't cover consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings and any replacement parts that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
    3. Warranty doesn't cover cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports
    4. Warranty doesn't cover damage caused by operating the product outside the published guidelines
    5. Warranty doesn't cover damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not an Authorized Service Provider
    6. Warranty doesn't cover product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission
    7. Warranty doesn't cover defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the product;
    8. Warranty doesn't cover if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Product.
    9. Warranty doesn't cover any software, except for software in the Product or provided by that is necessary for the operation of the Product;
    10. This limited warranty does not include service to diagnose a claimed malfunction in this unit.
    11. Warranty doesn't cover any damage caused by:
      1. Abuse, neglect, or improper use, handling, storage, improper installation, or testing, including any use that is not in accordance with the product manual, documentation, or other instructions provided with the Product;
      2. breakdowns, fluctuations, or interruptions in electric power or any telecommunications network;
      3. heat, humidity, moisture, or ordinary operation
      4. accidents or Acts of God, including fire, lightning, flood, freezing, tornado, earthquake, or hurricane.
      5. where KENT determines there is no trouble found (e.g., the error cannot be re-created/replicated)
